Note to Visitors:

Due to damage in May 2009 from heavy flooding in the Daytona Beach area the museum has currently closed the Center for Florida History.    

Approximately 95% of the museum remains open including the new Charles and Linda Williams Children’s Museum, the Root Family Museum, the Dow Gallery of American Art, the Schulte Gallery of Chinese Art, the Bouchelle Gallery of International Decorative Arts, The Cuban Foundation Museum Collection, and the Ford gallery which features the exhibition Reflections: Paintings of Florida 1865-1965 From the Collection of Cici and Hyatt Brown.

Museum Hours

Tuesday through Saturday 9 am - 5 pm
Sunday 11 am - 5 pm
Closed Mondays (Except Holidays)


The Museum will be open on major holidays that fall on a Monday including: Memorial Day, Labor Day, Martin Luther King Jr. Day and President's Day. Additional Mondays may be added due to demand. 

The Museum will be closed Thanksgiving day and Christmas day.

Exit 261 or 261A - International Speedway (Route 92) East to Nova Road South (Route 5A) (right turn). Museum entrance 800 feet on right. or Exit 260A - Route 400 East (Beville Road) to Nova Road North (Route 5A) (left turn). Museum entrance 1 mile on left.
